Well, we spent the afternoon at the Universal Studios this morning.  We took my daughter there for her birthday, and invited a few of her girl friends to tag along.  It was a very magical day.  There were tons of people and the lines were pretty long.  Tourist come to this place from all over the world, so it seemed like everyone had a camera with them.   We saw the Waterworld show, and went on the tram tour, as well log fluming down the Jurassic Park ride.  It seemed like everyone there had a favorite attraction.  But the only thing truly "universal" about it was how much everyone liked seeing my girl in her birthday dress.

You see, part of her birthday present was a gift certificate to her favorite online girl's dress store.  She spent hours checking out all the pages.  She had to make sure she bought the perfect dress with her money, so she toured the skirts, tops, jackets, and even skorts.  She finally settled on a style that really caught her eye for it's fun and bold prints and fashion forward design.  Apparently, they call this type of dress a birthday girl dress.  I'm not entirely sure why, but it seemed pretty apropos since it was for her birthday.  She bought the dress and still had enough money left over to get a cute little backpack.  It was so adorable, it made me wish they had a man bag made from the same fabrics.  Laughing out loud, gang.  But not really.  Kind of crying on the inside, if you know what I mean.  I have a lot of secrets, but I don't want to share them at this very moment.  I just want to stay on topic.  Which is my daughters birthday dress.

Oh my gosh, y'all.  We wasted so much money on that horrible food there.  I was like, I can not get this down my throat, and I don't ordinarily say that!!!  Anyway, lots of people took pictures of my girl in her birthday dress, which made her feel super special and important on her day.  So that was a huge bonus for all of us.  So, when you combine that with her favorite clothing outfit, her birthday was a huge success.  Next up, Christmas.  And I know just what I'm going to get her.  Another gift certificate to TwirlyGirl where can pick out more dresses.

Do you want a link to the website where I bought these girls dresses?  Then ask me nicely.  Eh, you know I'm just funning you.  Here you go.  Just follow this link below, and it will take you to TwirlyGirl's website. And by the way, don't you just love that name.  It's so creative!
